ECHO Spandana
Expanding Hope Beyond Bangalore
Building on the success of our work in Bangalore, ECHO established a presence in Mysore in July 2007. Inaugurated by Sri Praveen Sood, IPS, ECHO Spandana continues our mission of protecting child rights and ensuring holistic development for children in conflict with the law or in need of care and protection.
Services & Support at ECHO Spandana
- Counseling & Family Tracing: Our staff regularly visit the Observation Home, providing counseling and working to reunite children with their families when possible.
- Ongoing Family Support: Even after reintegration, we maintain contact with families to help them navigate societal and legal challenges.
- Shelter & Transition:
- Children under 15 are given shelter at ECHO Spandana.
- Those above 15 are supported at our Transitional Home in Bangalore.
Our staff actively engage with children in the Children’s Home, building trust and providing emotional support through daily routines and regular cultural programs that foster healing, joy, and confidence.
Community Outreach
Understanding that prevention begins at the community level, ECHO Spandana collaborates with the DSS Sisters to run outreach programs in Mysore slums—bringing support, awareness, and early intervention to children and families at risk.
