Community-Based Rehabilitation

Empowering Communities Through Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

ECHO’s Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) initiative is a transformative program designed to break the cycle of poverty and empower marginalized communities toward a brighter, more inclusive future. With a special focus on social inclusion and equal opportunities for girls, the CBR program champions a deinstitutionalized approach to child development.

At the core of the program are awareness sessions that address critical issues such as:

  • Child Marriage
  • Education
  • Child Rights

These sessions are complemented by a variety of recreational activities and games aimed at enhancing self-esteem and promoting active participation. Children engage in:

  • Educational activities
  • Icebreakers
  • Mind games
  • Word games
  • Sports

These interactive components help boost confidence, foster learning, and create a sense of community.

At the conclusion of the program, each participating child receives a month’s worth of food rations packaged in individual sacks for themselves and their families. The selection process is conducted through home visit surveys carried out by ECHO’s dedicated social workers, ensuring fair and need-based distribution among 60 families.
