A team of Government Officials from the Department of Juvenile Welfare and Correctional Services (JWCS), Government of Telangana; Aapyayata Project Staff, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and CSR, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), Hyderabad visited ECHO Center for Juvenile Justice and Remodelled ECHO Special Home, Summanahalli as part of Exposure Visit, in partnership with UNICEF Hyderabad- Karnataka. The two days visit on 27th and 28th September 2024 was a collaborative initiative aimed at providing psychosocial intervention and understand the comprehensive rehabilitation for Children in Conflict with Law (CCL).
The delegation consists of 16 members, including 10 officials from the Department of JWCS and 6 project staff, participated in orientation sessions facilitated by Dr. Manju Dhoundiyal, Consultant and, by Adv. Dr. Antony Sebastion, Founder Director. They visited the initiatives, successful models and programs implemented at ECHO Center. By observing ECHO’s models firsthand, the delegation gained valuable insights into creating impactful interventions for children in institutional care in Telangana. The exposure visit marks a significant step towards improving psychosocial support and understanding the rehabilitation efforts for vulnerable children.
